If you are reading this article then you must be preparing for GRE or planning to start the GRE preparation. Welcome my friend you are at the right place🤗

Studying at the top universities in abroad is everyone’s dream but not everyone can change this dream into reality. But I believe you will make your dream come true by including the upcoming ways into your GRE preparation.

Before discussing those ways let’s discuss an important thing, you must have heard that it’s not an easy task to score well in GRE, that is 320 out of 340 and if you want to get admission at a reputed university you must have more than 320 marks in GRE plus a super amazing profile.

But many students struggle to score even 300+ marks, and now you will not be the part of those struggling students because these 7 ways will be going to boost your GRE score.

Follow these 👇 7 ways to Boost your GRE score

  1. Don’t choose the best Strategy
Yes, you read it right, don’t choose the best strategy to choose the strategy which is best for you.
No doubt the more time you devote to studying and practicing the more improvement you’ll see. But if you are not spending that time in a strategical manner you won’t be able to improve your GRE score.
For example, spending more time on practicing the section you are good at will leads to less time and energy left for practicing the sections you are bad at. You have to create and implement your own strategy not every strategy work for every student.
  2. Pay attention to the AWA part
Most of the students spend most of their time to practice the quant and reasoning section and could not understand the importance of the Writing section. Which is absolutely a big mistake.
AWA (analytical writing assessment) is the first section of your exam. Imagine if you performed terrible in the first section would you able to perform well in the rest of the section even if you have well prepared?
Practice the AWA section as much as you can as it is also an extremely important part of your exam.
  3. Understanding the mathematical concept works better than memorizing formulas
Many students are scared of maths as either they don’t like it or they couldn’t score well in mathematics.
But you don’t need to get scared of the quant section of the GRE once you understand the concept of the topics and it is necessary also. And once you get the concept the quant section will be no longer tricky for you then.
You can prefer high school books to understand the concept as you get detailed explanations there.
  4. Practicing SAT RC passages would be a good option
Most of the students struggle with the reading comprehension section. If you want to master this section start with the lower level, that is SAT RC passages, and then eventually when you gain confidence move to practicing the GRE RC passages.
By this, you will be able to improve your score in RC section for sure.
  5. Identify your weak areas and spend more time on that
This is one of the most important points by which you can increase your GRE score. Here is the tip to identify your weak areas:
Tip no 1: the section in which you are getting the lowest marks in the practice tests
Tip no 2: the section which you are scared off
Working more on the weak areas will definitely pay off. Because scoring full marks in one section won’t work for you if you score zero in the other section.
  6. Consistency is must if you want improvement
Your efforts will pay off only if you are putting consistent efforts. Studying 2–3 hours daily is better than studying 8 hours today and then not studying for the next 3 days. You will only get improved results if you are practicing on a regular basis.
And the biggest thing to note down here is you have to give practice test on a regular basis as well, tests are the only thing by which you can measure your improvement levels.
  7. Keep track of your mistakes or wrong answers
You must have heard that we should keep track of our success but keeping an eye on your mistakes also matters a lot when it comes to improving your performance.
You can also make an Error Log to keep track of your wrong answers to ensure that you won’t be making those mistakes again in future. After all, we learn better from our own mistakes.

And lastly, the one thing which will help you to include the above 7 ways to your preparation is by Motivating Yourself. You need to be self-motivated if you want to implement those strategies. But here the question is how can you motivate yourself?

The answer is simple “don’t forget to appreciate your efforts”, appreciation boost your will to achieve more.

There may be times when you fail or feel low but remember failure is the part of our journey, the journey which will teach you many important lessons and leads you to your destination.
